Rev. Dr. ErNiko Brown is a visionary leader, dynamic speaker, strategist, and community convener whose life and work are deeply rooted in the transformative power of dialogue, equity, land stewardship, and collective action. Born and raised on rural family land in Willington, South Carolina, that has remained in her family for more than 200 years, Dr. Brown carries a profound connection to history, heritage, and community. She is also a descendant of the historic Guillebeau House, the last standing structure from the French Huguenot settlement now located within Hickory Knob State Resort Park. This deep ancestral connection to land and legacy has shaped her understanding of identity, resilience, preservation, and the importance of honoring the stories and experiences that connect communities across generations.

Guided by her grandmother’s teachings, Dr. Brown learned early the value of living in harmony with the land, caring for others, and building intentional community. These foundational lessons continue to inform her leadership and advocacy, reinforcing her belief that sustainable change begins with honoring both heritage and humanity.

With nearly two decades of experience in political, civic, environmental, and grassroots organizing, Rev. Dr. Brown has become a respected voice in community engagement and environmental justice, particularly for rural and historically marginalized communities. She played a pivotal role in organizing one of the largest biomass opposition campaigns in the Southeastern United States, mobilizing diverse coalitions to address environmental and public health concerns while amplifying community voices at the local, state, national, and international levels.

As a skilled facilitator, keynote speaker, and communication strategist, Dr. Brown specializes in helping individuals, organizations, and communities engage in courageous and meaningful dialogue across differences. Her work equips diverse audiences with practical tools to communicate effectively, navigate conflict, strengthen trust, and foster inclusive collaboration. Drawing from lived experience, cultural awareness, and strategic insight, she creates transformative spaces where people move beyond surface-level conversations toward deeper understanding and collective problem-solving.

Rev. Dr. Brown has shared her expertise at institutions including Clemson University, Tougaloo College, and Georgia Institute of Technology, inspiring audiences to view communication as a bridge between cultures, generations, institutions, and communities. Through advocacy, education, and public engagement, she continues to champion justice, sustainability, and human connection while helping communities imagine and create more equitable futures for generations to come.
